Formed in 2015 to offer an independent brokerage that works with select agents and carriers to place professional liability and traditional excess & surplus lines as an alternative to the large corporate houses.

With Twenty five years of experience as a resource to the independent agency system, we are committed to it as a partner. We are your marketing department for professional liability and for property and casualty that should be placed in the E&S marketplace.

With an eye on the future, we look to develop long term relationships with our agents and carriers that go beyond simply placing one piece of business today.

Blake T. Souders, CPCU is a graduate of Auburn University School of Business. As a 25 year veteran of the insurance industry he has successfully produced and underwritten excess & surplus lines books of business from the beginning.

In 2014 he recognized that with the consolidation in the industry, there were fewer independently owned Insurance brokers and agencies and set out to form an independently owned firm that could be more personal with their business partners and more reactive to their needs. In 2015 he founded Souders Underwriting Group, LLC. to be that firm.
